Kickapoo Tribal Health Center Donates First Aid Bags
Thermometers, bandages and exam gloves are all necessary supplies that school nurses use to take care of their students. Thanks to the generosity of the Kickapoo Tribal Health Center, Shawnee Public Schools will have these supplies and even more required first-aid items on hand.
Amber Davis, physician assistant with the Kickapoo Tribal Health Center, made a recent donation of eight first-aid bags to La Rita Haffey, district health nurse coordinator. This gift ensures that each Shawnee school site will have access to the first-aid bags.
In addition to the initial donation of the supply-filled bags, Davis said the health center plans to replace the bags' contents every two months.
